Anne Hathaway was believed to be devastated by her wardrobe malfunction pictures which went viral after she was caught getting down from the car. But a couple of days later, she seemed to have forgotten the episode as she was seen grinning as she learnt that was she was nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Female Award for her part in Les Miserables by the Screen Actors Guild.
Anne Hathaway joined the embarrassing company of Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan with the wardrobe malfunction which is now called ‘ Full hathaway-gate’. Anne Hathaway was without underway but she was still wearing a stunning designer dress by Tom Ford, which people do not seem to be interested in.
The otherwise chic actress seemed to be clearly embarrassed about the wardrobe malfunction, which seemed to be due to thigh-high split of the black figure hugging dress, which fell open as she got out of the car in an awkward position.
Anne Hathaway 30 was overheard telling Vanity Fair writer Ingrid Sischy that she was devastated by what happened. ‘I was getting out of the car and my dress was so tight that I didn’t realize it until I saw all the photographers’ flashes. ‘It was devastating. They saw everything. I might as well have lifted up my skirt for them.’ She later told Today show host Matt Lauer: ‘It was obviously an unfortunate incident. It kind of made me sad on two accounts. One was that I was very sad that we live in an age when someone takes a picture of another person in a vulnerable moment and rather than delete it, and do the decent thing, sells it.
How to avoid wardrobe malfunction ?
Well, the director of Etiquette School of New York, Patricia Fitzpatrick, has an advice. ‘Knees together girls! When you’re sitting, you sit with your knees touching.’Or better yet: ‘Wear underwear!’
