What is a verucca ?
Veruccas and warts are result of viral infection in the skin. Many consider warts and verrucas look alike; but they are actually different from one another. Verrucas are warts which occur on the feet; they are seen on the ball of the foot which is exposed to pressure. Once verrucas are developed, the area gets sore and since they occur at a crucial area in the feet, the affected persons may find difficulty in walking or standing. They are slightly raised, circular in nature with thickened rim of surrounding skin. Black spots may also occur on the surface of the skin.
Treatment of Verrucas
Veruccas causes lot of discomfort for the people who are infected. Also called as Verruca Plantaris, these warts are caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV). They cause lot of pain and embarrassment, but if they are treated properly, the symptoms can be reduced and healed. To clear the verrucas, soak foot in water and add vinegar. Dry the foot after this and put the plaster over the top and then add vinegar to just cover them. Cover the Verruca with vinegar and plaster till the time you go to sleep. At the end of the day, wash your feet. Repeat this for the next few weeks and you will see the difference in the area.
There are few wart removal kits available in the market which can be helpful in removing the verrucas. Also, if you wrap the inner part of the banana skin in the infected area, it can help to cure verrucas.
